Building Resilience - Look on the Bright Side

Building Resilience - Look on the Bright Side

This term at Victoria we have been learning to Look on the Bright Side. We can all look at the same situation from different perspectives. Sometimes the way we think about things that happen to us, can have a bigger impact on our wellbeing than the event itself.

We have learnt that:

  • The      way you think can affect the way you feel.
  • There      are different ways of looking at the same thing.
  • Focusing      on what you are grateful for can help.

All are welcome to come along, not just youngsters.

See you at Bangholm Recreation Ground, Craighall Gardens, EH6 4RH.

Building Resilience - Talk Things Over

This term we are learning to Talk Things Over when we feel worried. Children will learn how worries affect our wellbeing and what we can do to deal with them to stop them escalating. This includes strategies like writing them down, talking them over, realising things will pass and asking for help.

We will be learning that:

• At times we all feel worried
