Tale of a Tall Ship

Last Friday, P2 were lucky enough to visit and go on a tall ship that is docked at Ocean Terminal. The ARC Gloria is a navy ship from Colombia and is one of the tallest ships of it's kind! We were split into small groups and one of the ship's crew gave us a personalised tour. We practised our Spanish by saying 'ola' and 'gracias' to all the shipmates we saw. We saw the tall masts and the huge sails - all which have different names. We went up to the bow of the ship and it was very windy!

Bubble Room News!

We are so happy with our new and improved Bubble Room!  Miss Herbert and Miss Cowley have done an AMAZING job to get it back looking great and we are thankful to the PTA for funding the revamp for us.  Please have a look at the photos to see the results.

This seems like the perfect opportunity to give this newly revamped space in our school a new name. We hope to organise a competition to let the children decide what this will be.  More details on this idea will be available soon!

Also Primary 6, along with Primary 7, have enjoyed designing posters for the Edinburgh Fringe competition. The poster will be used for the cover of the Fringe programme and will be displayed in various places throughout the City.  The winner will be announced in April.

Going back in time with Primary 2

Primary 2 held a class assembly on the Ancient Egyptians.  We went back in time to learn about ancient egyptian children, food, hyrogliphics and mummies.

We also danced and sang to 'Walked like an Egyptian'!
