Parent Council

Who are we?

The Parent Council is a group of parents who meet twice a term with teachers, councillors, and members of the community.

What do we do?

We work with the school to support the education and welfare of the pupils. We represent the views of parents and promote communication between the school, parents, pupils and the wider community. Sometimes we campaign on specific issues affecting the school. The Parent Council is working closely with the school and council to help resolve the issue of growing pupil numbers (Rising Rolls).

What kind of person are we looking for?

You! We welcome anyone who is the parent or guardian of a child at Victoria Primary school – whatever their skills, interests, experiences.  Members of the community without children at the school can be co-opted.

How can I get involved?

If you would like to join, or you would just like to find out more before deciding whether or not to join, please speak to a member of the Parent Council. Our pictures and names are on the Parent Council noticeboard just inside the school entrance. The dates of the meetings are there too. We look forward to welcoming you!

2018/9 Meetings

Here are the dates for the parent council meetings this session. You'll see that we have a mix of Tuesdays and Wednesdays this year as we're hoping this will allow more folk to attend.  Feel free to come to any meetings that interest you.

New members will be very welcome!

All meetings are at 7pm in the Computer Suite in the main building.
