We are unable to take on any more volunteers at the moment.

You are welcome to read the information below which may be of interest to you in the future:

Volunteers are valued members of the school community. They are able to provide extra support in the busy, modern classroom. Undertaking tasks such as playing maths or language games, reading stories, changing library books or working with a child one-to-one can be a rewarding experience for all.

If you have a particular skill, which you would like to share with the children, you would be most welcome to do so. Please just contact the school either via our guestbook, or by phoning the school office on 0131 476 7306.  Please ask to be directed to our Depute Head Teacher Teacher, Mrs Gorrie, who oversees all our volunteers.

All volunteers are required to hold a certificate from the 'Protecting Vulnerable Groups' (PVG) scheme for volunteering with City of Edinburgh Council.  If you already have a PVG certificate for another role, please note that this cannot be used for volunteering with us.  You will need to complete a PVG update form.

We have a supply of all of these forms in school, so please ask Mrs Suttie for one.  PVG applications can take up to 6 weeks to be processed and once your certificate arrives, you can start your volunteering experience with us!
